Tom Bird and Jeremy Cassell, known as the ‘Tom and Jerry’ of the training world to their clients, have almost 30 years experience of business training between them. They met 12 years ago and now work in partnership running a highly successful performance improvement consultancy, RTPC Limited, which Jerry founded in 1999. Today they work with clients around the world designing and delivering highly effective training, helping them to consider how best to embed and transfer the learning, and coaching individuals to help them to realise their potential.
They are both founding partners and co-owners of the MØller PFS Group affiliated to Cambridge University which has quickly become the UK’s biggest provider of training, coaching and consultancy for professional service firms, focusing on leadership, strategy, business and client development, talent and career development, and coaching and mentoring.
They are best-selling authors of ‘Brilliant Selling’, Europe’s top selling ‘how to’ book on selling which was published in 2009, and has been translated into 8 languages with nearly 50,000 copies being sold to date. It is now used by a wide range of companies as a sales training guide and resource with their sales teams.
Their business experience has shown them that training in isolation rarely works, but that it has the potential to be in instrumental in bringing about tangible and sustainable change leading to measureable business results.

I am also a Master Practitioner of NLP. I spent 15 years in sales and then in management and leadership within a number of international hi-tech companies. My other passions in my life are music (particularly loud), food (particularly cooking) and spending time with my wife Jeanette and children Ellie and James.”

“I am a qualified teacher, certified coach and NLP trainer, and have held senior positions as National Training Manager for L’Oreal and National Sales Training Manager for Walkers Snack Foods, coupled with a spell at a management consultancy. My anorak tendency is that I collect first editions of hardback modern novels and Wisdens. I play and watch as much sport as possible, including golf, cricket and squash, in between spending time with my partner Nicola, and my children Felix, Benjamin and Isabella.”
